Winter in Texas?

It's hard to believe that we have snow here in Texas but sure enough we have snow at the farm. Well, at least the kids & the chickens seem happy! They made a snowman and had a snowball fight. Sadly we lost 2 chickens to the cold weather we think. This was a new aspect to farming for us. Wayne had to spend a couple of hours winterizing the coop all because we had failed to keep our eye on the weather. I am going to have him add a weather bar to the computer task bar so we do not get surprised again. Since we do not watch TV both because of moral convictions and time constraints we often have no idea what's going on unless it's mentioned on a talk radio station. We did not know it was snowing until Donna (baby Micah's Mom we watch him during the day) got here and informed us her kids had been up since 6 am playing in the snow! It was beautiful out here I am not sure I was fully able to capture the beautiful country simplicity of it!

Dream of a White Christmas,
RH
